One Pear Tree Mornington is a bright and spacious café tucked in the commercial precinct of Mornington, surrounded by a mix of warehouses and small shops. It serves as a reliable spot for locals and visitors looking for a laid-back breakfast or lunch without the hassle of heavy crowds or traffic.

The café’s interior strikes a balance between modern and cozy—wood paneling adds warmth while the open layout prevents the space from feeling cramped. There are ample indoor and outdoor seating options, making it adaptable whether you want to settle in with a coffee or enjoy the fresh air on a sunny day. Because of its setting near retail outlets and light industry, the crowd tends to be a mix of workers grabbing a solid breakfast, shoppers taking a break, and locals meeting friends over coffee.

The menu leans heavily on all-day breakfast classics with some twists, offering everything from simple bacon and egg rolls to more elevated dishes such as truffle mushrooms and pea & halloumi fritters. There’s a healthy vibe running through the options—including vegan choices—which speaks to the café’s attentiveness to various dietary preferences. Smoothies and fresh juices are also part of the drink selection, complementing the strong coffee offerings.

Service here is generally friendly and attentive without being overly formal, making it easy to feel comfortable whether you’re popping in solo to work with a laptop or gathering a group for a weekend catch-up. Mid-morning or early lunchtime are good windows to avoid any busier stretch, though the café maintains a steady, lively buzz during peak times.

If you appreciate a clean, well-organized café with similar care given to food and atmosphere, and you don’t mind a cheerful, bustling backdrop, One Pear Tree fits well into the everyday rhythm of Mornington. It’s well suited for those who want quality breakfast classics served in a practical but pleasant environment.

This is a sound place. An easy 4 out of 5. It’s a lovely buzzy little cafe in the commercial area of Mornington. There are warehouses, factory outlets etc all around it. We’d just been to the very good Made in Japan outlet nearby, and up popped this cafe so we just had to visit. It’s a clean, comfortable and well ordered cafe with good inside and outside areas. The wood panelling inside gives the place a warm feel too. The medium coffee and egg and bacon roll, the $9.50 special, took our eye today. The roll was good. A terrifically fresh toasted sesame seed roll. It was fresh as. A decent size as well and piping hot with an egg and two slices of good bacon. Well cooked. Simple but nicely presented. We enjoyed one each. The food to go looked really good too. The coffee was a tidy one too. Well up to the mark. Service was amiable throughout too from multiple servers and engagingly efficient. I agree with a previous comment. This place is trendy and good without any hipster snobbery. A good place and we’d happily return anytime.

I was in the market for a new café spot that wasn't too bustling with heavy traffic. I stumbled across thirteen83 and loved in layout and open space, great menu and positive feedback. Google didn't let me down, staff were excellent, picked our own table and were started with coffees within minutes. Lots of great menu options, healthy vibe of both breakfast and lunch selections. Smoothies and takeaway options too. Great spot.

Recently visited One Pear Tree Cafe, The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, with a perfect balance of modern decor and comfortable seating. The staff was friendly and attentive, I started with their Calamari Salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

I've walked past this place often for many years now but today finally decided to drop in. Bigger than I'd thought from the outside but with a jovial, welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly staff and although the noise levels are high thanks to everyone else here, that's likely the same of every cafe about this time. Plenty of outdoor seating though so I might do that next time! I rate this place highly right away thanks to them having a sandwich bar. I can count on one hand the amount of places that do sandwiches to order and it's a real shame. Subway is overpriced, sugary rubbish so it hardly counts. This place has a great selection of fresh breads and ingredients. Ordering is easy. First time I've had chicken poached just for my sandwich! Bit of a wait but it was worth it. The oat milk mocha I had was delicious and creamy too. Very pleased. I can highly recommend this place. I'll definitely return. Update: the menu has changed, and last I checked the sandwich bar doesn't exist anymore. My main draw: gone. Sad. Still, tasty brekky and drinks.

Stopped off for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful appearance and ambience when we arrived . Sat in the garden and enjoyed the live music while we dined . I ordered the truffle mushrooms and my husband ordered sourdough toast with poached eggs and salmon. Delicious meals but could have been made even more special with the sourdough a little less toasted on my husbands . My order would have been 10/10 with a couple of little touches . Sautéed spinach required some seasoning , as did the crispy polenta , which tasted of nothing . A little parmesan and salt and pepper stirred through would have done the trick . A drizzle of truffle oil over the dish at the end would have finished it beautifully. Will definitely be back 8/10
